After the Developer Update, we have been waiting for the follow up PTR patch with all of the information on heroes such as Torbjorn and Pharah. All that is here, together with huge quality of life improvements.
Before we dig in the hero equilibrium, let's take a peek at the way the developers are creating Overwatch a little easier to read. Colorblind Options Updates Customize how staff colors are displayed in your UI (e.g. nameplates, HUD, wellness bars) and enthusiast outlines with a set of nine different colorblind-friendly colours to pick from. You choose to colorize enemy and friendly UI individually as well. These choices can be found under Options > Video > Color Blind Options. All changes made will be stored and ready for you to see in the next game you play! This shift still provides Brigitte with significant survivability but also needs to be rewarding for competitions who pressure her. Brigitte's shield celebration has already been hit with nerfs, lowering its length and place cone. Her shield will be a bit easier to take out. She will still frustrate Widowmakers, but a Soldier: 76 or Orisa will have an easier time applying pressure and making sure that she can't stay on the front lines indefinitely. Combat Roll is a fairly important ability because it reloads his weapon, building a Fan the Hammer, Combat Roll, Fire combo crucial to gamers who wish to master McCree. This is not something which'll create McCree a top grade selection overnight, but it's not anything to sneeze at either. Now, Pharah understands a pretty significant set of changes. This is not a rework, since the mechanics are unchanged, but the numbers are significantly shifted. Developer Comments: We wanted to increase how receptive Pharah's Rocket Launcher felt. Having almost a complete second of recovery between shots made it feel lethargic. To balance out the enhanced recovery time, we shifted some of the damage in the rocket's explosion into the direct effect damage. The overall damage potential is now enhanced when landing direct hits and diminished marginally when only dealing explosive damage. We decreased the quantity of knockback every explosion causes, as they made it very difficult to aim at Pharah while rockets came in at a quicker speed. The Concussive Blast cooldown reduction must permit the capability to boot more closely using the Jump Jet cooldown when used for freedom. Pharah will remain a delicate target from the atmosphere, and her rockets will interrupt less, but she should be able to do more damage off and also have more tools to move around.
