Halloween Terror is your spookiest Overwatch occasion around. Each year, we get new skins which range from adorable costumes like Corsair Ana to complete on monster transformations like Dragon Symmetra. Even better, there is a PVE mode, Junkenstein's Revenge, and a few alternate world lore. Add in a couple of appropriately decorated maps with pumpkins and cobwebs, and it's a fun way to spice up your October.
Up until now, the Halloween Terror narrative has focused around a group of adventurers. The Alchemist (Ana), the Gunslinger (McCree), the Archer (Hanzo), and the Soldier (76) made up the first wave. The Countess (Widowmaker), the Swordsman (Genji), the Monk (Zenyatta) and the Viking (Torbjorn) joined the lineup this past year. The heroes fight against the assembled forces of the Witch of the Wilds and Dr. Junkenstein, The story has centered around the besieged town of Aldersbrunn, a modified Eichenwalde, together with Reinhardt serving since its tired, betrayed lord. The aforementioned puzzle suggests that we're heading into Chateau Guillard this year, although we did find out from the recent Developer Update the event will not have a huge update in scale. Halloween Terror will even bring a fresh wave of mythical skins, priced at 3000 credits a piece. While, previous event skins and makeup may return at a reduced cost.

Nature's costumes look like they're a strong Halloween costume or a beginning for a more sophisticated cosplay. The Soldier 76 mask, for instance, could be an excellent prop to liven up for more dedicated fans. '
There are a few props available for purchase too: Genji's Dragonblade and Soldier 76's thick pulse rifle. Honestly, going to a Halloween party as an Overwatch character looks like a pretty safe bet. Blizzard's game has completely infiltrated the mainstream, and even in the event that you go to a party without a slew of gamers, someone is going to recognize the characters from social networking. So long as someone there's a Tumblr, you should be useful. Yes, yes, Halloween Terror is arriving to Overwatchon October 9, but actual Halloween aficionados have been planning their costumes and circling dates in their calendar. Overwatch characters are already hugely popular in cosplay, and now we are seeing some characters' costumes released for Halloween. The Overwatch League may be deep into the off-season, but it doesn't mean the teams are not keen to compete, as we saw on Friday when the Los Angeles Valiant along with the San Francisco Shock declared the first ever Overwatch California Cup. The event is meant to be a home-and-home style skirmish event between these two California teams that each represent a different part of the state. Together with the two matches, which will see each group sponsor one side, the Cup will even feature fan meet and greets, merchandise and amateur tournaments. The southern portion of the championship, put together and hosted by the LA Valiant will be hosted in Orange County at the Esports Arena in Santa Ana, California on Oct. 20. Tickets for the event will range from 25 to 75 and enables fans to do things from simply viewing the games all the way up to accessing the VIP Lounge. While this home-and-home series could possibly be the start of the California Cup, it certainly won't be the end. The decoration will always be up for grabs during the Overwatch League's next season any time these two teams encounter. After the Developer Update, we have been waiting for the follow up PTR patch with all of the information on heroes such as Torbjorn and Pharah. All that is here, together with huge quality of life improvements.
Before we dig in the hero equilibrium, let's take a peek at the way the developers are creating Overwatch a little easier to read. Colorblind Options Updates Customize how staff colors are displayed in your UI (e.g. nameplates, HUD, wellness bars) and enthusiast outlines with a set of nine different colorblind-friendly colours to pick from. You choose to colorize enemy and friendly UI individually as well. These choices can be found under Options > Video > Color Blind Options. All changes made will be stored and ready for you to see in the next game you play! General Updated visuals for many shields and barriers to increase readability This quality of dwell change is super easy, but it's the sort of thing that really makes a difference to colorblind gamers or even people who are looking for the top. Having the capability to read battle is the first stage to improving. According to the Developer Update, there will be many more changes to come with colorblind players in mind, so keep an eye out for more functionality and UI changes as the year progresses. Developer Comments: The health of Brigitte's barrier was incredibly hard for many heroes to address even as she managed to close the space with her goals. This shift still provides Brigitte with significant survivability but also needs to be rewarding for competitions who pressure her. Brigitte's shield celebration has already been hit with nerfs, lowering its length and place cone. Her shield will be a bit easier to take out. She will still frustrate Widowmakers, but a Soldier: 76 or Orisa will have an easier time applying pressure and making sure that she can't stay on the front lines indefinitely. Combat Roll is a fairly important ability because it reloads his weapon, building a Fan the Hammer, Combat Roll, Fire combo crucial to gamers who wish to master McCree. This is not something which'll create McCree a top grade selection overnight, but it's not anything to sneeze at either. Now, Pharah understands a pretty significant set of changes. This is not a rework, since the mechanics are unchanged, but the numbers are significantly shifted. Developer Comments: We wanted to increase how receptive Pharah's Rocket Launcher felt. Having almost a complete second of recovery between shots made it feel lethargic. To balance out the enhanced recovery time, we shifted some of the damage in the rocket's explosion into the direct effect damage. The overall damage potential is now enhanced when landing direct hits and diminished marginally when only dealing explosive damage. We decreased the quantity of knockback every explosion causes, as they made it very difficult to aim at Pharah while rockets came in at a quicker speed. The Concussive Blast cooldown reduction must permit the capability to boot more closely using the Jump Jet cooldown when used for freedom. And if you interested in Overwatch Boost check this website However, in the hands of top level players who can consistently hit rockets, you should see them doing more damage and becoming more Barrages off. Pharah will remain a delicate target from the atmosphere, and her rockets will interrupt less, but she should be able to do more damage off and also have more tools to move around. In short, this makes her a glass cannon and possibly really frightening in pro play. The Overwatch League has completed its inaugural season, and season 2 is set to be more ambitious. We are getting eight more teams, which means that the current arrangement has to be shaken up to adapt the new developments to the team. Season two of this Overwatch League is set to begin on Thursday, Feb. 14, 2019.
There'll be four five-week stages, all played in the Blizzard Arena in Los Angeles. Each of the 20 teams will play 28 matches throughout the season. Teams can perform anywhere between zero and 2 matches per week, which should alleviate worries of burnout. The League also state that this may provide groups with opportunities to see their home markets for enthusiast events. Each division winner and the subsequent four top teams in the standings (from both the Atlantic and Pacific Divisions) will qualify for the postseason playoffs. The final two playoffs spots will probably be claimed by teams who qualify through a play-in tournament immediately following the regular season. There will be longer breaks throughout the season, including a protracted rest between Stages 2 and 3 to adapt All-Star Weekend. While we're still waiting for ticket opportunities and the full program of match-ups and times, this news answers a lot of questions about the Season 2 format. |
